I was drooling over www.lehmans.com as I was looking at the cast iron pots. I was saying to dh that with the gas stove, I'd love to expand my cast iron collection. They have a WOK!!!! And a "chicken fryer," which is like my skillet but deeper. And a waffle iron, which I would use MAYBE once a year, and then wish I had two or three because I would find it to be too slow to cook one at a time.

DH said if I bookmarked the site I might get a "surprise" for our anniversary in a month. How romantic! (No sarcasm there....I REALLY would be pleased! )

But what to get????

Hmmm....maybe I should hint about another dairy goat, currently lactating? That is what I really want!!! A gallon-a-dayer!

Seriously, what should I bookmark? Any other ideas or sites to look at?

Well, i covet the sugaring kettle, but if that's out of the budget, the chicken fryer looks awesome. And it would have lots of other uses.

Is there a site for a second wife? The uglier-heavier-smells slightly odd but loves to cook and clean variety?

I have the wok, which is great And the waffle iron, which is the best waffle iron I have EVER used. But I would put my money in the chicken fryer or a cast iron dutch oven. At my house my dutch oven is ALWAYS in use ... especially in winter and the chicken fryer would be a work horse as well.

Yup! New Wife. My hubby found this one one day as a joke. Ha ha Ha.

Oh - the chicken fryer or dutchoven. I had one with a lid and I used it for so many things. But DH ruined it. Yes, you can ruin cast iron. He put it in a campfire and burned it and it's just awful. I tried every cleaning trick there is. He is not allowed to use any of my pans, he has ruined so many. :rant

Free..........you and hubby should just drive to Ohio for a visit. Lehman's is only about 25 minutes from here, and I can promise you'll need a whole day in that store to see everything. The Wife and I spent a few hours there two weeks ago.
After Lehman's, we ate lunch at Das Dutch Kitchen. http://www.dasdutch.com/home
