Lids are good for bartering around here right now.

I'll probably buy another dozen wide mouth lids for my stash.

Mom told me I need to trade some boxes of lids for some of my uncle's salsa. She says it's the best she's ever had and my brothers can't convince him to part with any. He does trade though.
Perhaps your uncle will give you his recipe.

Mom hasn't been able to get it. Maybe I can offer the dozen lids for it.

Part of it is he gets his pick of fresh ripe produce from my great uncle's farm. This uncle is a farm mechanic who works long days with no garden time.

I'm tempted to wait until he next catches a sturgeon. His smoked sturgeon is to die for. Of course he likes my smoked salmon. Recipe trade there is fine but we don't live next to the Columbia river to go sturgeon fishing.
