not me

we do all of the Thanksgiving meal tomorrow

we cook nothing ahead

does anyone start today? just wondering

I cook the turkey today, debone it and then throw it in the slow cooker in a mushroom sauce. I also put together my cauliflower dish ahead of time, and my acorn squash stuffing. Tonight I will make a pumpkin cheesecake. Then all I have to do tomorrow is heat stuff up and cut up fresh veggies. Easy peazy!!

easy peazy
:lau

just a cool saying

I'll be getting my cornbread and biscuits done today for dressing, and probably some fresh bread.

We're celebrating Thanksgiving with some good friends and they are doing the turkey so I don't have to worry about that! Whipping up a few sides tomorrow - fresh green beans, roasted butternut squash, and maybe some fried cabbage. We always cook too much!

I have never cooked a turkey :hide I was in my 20's already when I arrived in the USA, and Thanksgiving isn't something you celebrate in other countries. I've always lucked out and been invited to Thanksgiving with family, so I only ever have had to prepare side dishes and such.

THIS year, we're staying home, illness in the family - so I'm going to roast a chicken! :gig Cause its what I know. and there is only 4 of us.

There is only going to be the four of us for dinner tomorrow, so I'm making chicken casserole, green beans, mashed taters,...maybe some brown n' serve rolls. 30 minutes and I'll be done,..watching football. :D Then everyone is happy! Oh, and maybe a cake,...:drool

I'm baking my pies today, brining my turkey, making greenbean cassarole and doing any veg prep I can. I like to just be able to relax n drink mamosa's on turkey day morning!

We always make the stuffing today. Then the rest tomorrow. Luckily I personally am making NOTHING. Usually I make the pies but this year my sister is bringing them. So when I asked my mom what she wanted me to bring. She said everything is covered so don't bring anything. Fine by me. But we do drive 1 hour to get to her house and the rest of the family is within 15 minutes so I think it is a fair trade! :P
