And how can I get started on this?

I can make frozen pizzas. (In batches of 3's, but they're so good they're usually gone in a 2 days!) I'll just have to make a lot more!

I*could* make dinner rolls if I had a better recipe.

I have no ideas what else...

Crockpots of Chili and spaghetti. Risotto. Meatloaf.

Maybe with pizza's you can make a huge batch of crusts and half bake them before freezing.

Those cheap containers for lunches are wonderful for packing frozen meals in.

I never cook thinking a months supply.....but I do make and freeze an extra batch of a few items

like lasagna

I always make 2

eat on one for a few days then the other is in the freezer

we don't eat alot of lasagna....but when I make it, since it is such a pain, I make 2---they freeze beautiful.

I freeze ingredients but rarely do I make meals and freeze them.

I do once a week cooking. It is easier with my schedule, budget, and diet.

Food.com has a once a month cooking forum and recipe search just for it. OAMC.

When I have time I'll come back and leave recipes. I'm just regrouping before I sew ;)

eta: I cook double matches whenever I can and freeze half.

What I'd like to be able to do is to make double when I cook it and freeze the leftovers for another meal. Only problem being, my hubby wouldn't eat it. :/

This sounds like an awesome idea, since there are at least 3 nights per week when after working all day, I just can't seem to get an acceptable dinner together.
Why have I never thought of this before? I freeze some prepared food but not much beyond soup or stock.

I really need help, thanks Tortoise for starting this thread!

D. Deb, I feel your pain, my late husband would not touch anything leftover!

About the only time he'll eat leftovers is if it was something I was saving for lunch (or breakfast) the next day! :he

I will at times make up quite a bit of something that I like and freeze the leftovers. Then, when he's not going to be home, o sometimes for lunch, I'll thaw it out and reheat it.

I make soups in 8 quart batches, spaghetti I double or triple, lasagna same. I also will cook a family pack of meat and freeze the rest for another meal. My MIL precooks and freezes ground beef for taco's, sloppy joe's, spaghetti, etc. at least the meat is done :idunno It does save room in the freezer too.
