Why men should NEVER take messages.............

My husband used to take messages and write them on boards from his shop. Then he would walk from the shop and hand me the board when I got in from work. Sure glad he didn't think they were post-it notes and try to stick it to my head.

Mine won't take messages. If he answers the phone and its for me, he tells them to call back and leave a message on the answering machine. He even tells them that if they don't: A) I won't get the message for days or possibly never because he will forget and B) he will remember someone called but not who, plus he will not be able to find the scrap of paper he wrote the name and number on. (sigh)

My husband an son just know not to answer the phone. I think is so seldom rings that when it does their caught off guard. Besides if there calling the house number it's most likely for me.

Cute! DH forgets to tell me when some one calls. He'll remember two days later, and approach it by saying "Did you call so and so back?" Huh? What so and so.....And so it goes....

mine follows me around the house and obsessively asks "did you call her back yet? what about now? did you call them? are you calling?"
i'm not very good on the phone and it freaks him out. as a sales guy he always run to answer the phone. me - i never answer it. and i cant hold onto a cell phone. i think mine is out in the hen house. golly. maybe i should look for it. hey - maybe the hens are trying to hatch it! ha ha ha!
i figure i'll call whoever back in a day or two - or a week. or never. or they should know that i only ever email. sheesh!
