Benn a rough night around here. Multiple tornados, heavy hail, etc. Several homes have been demolished as well. Luckily, our major population center, Ardmore, was narrowly missed by 3 different twisters. John and I saw a rope like one come down, maybe 2 miles away. We could see a larger one 7-10 miles away, hitting Lone Grove(which was hit really badly a little over a year ago). Good old Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains :p !

Larger tornado west of town

I heard there were some fatalities, its so sad, I saw one house on the news flattened and them bringing out a small child from the basement area. I can't imagine how aweful it must be to lose everything like that!

So glad to hear you all are OK! I was texting back and forth with my future DIL dureing that time. She was pannicking, hail, winds, she was so scared. Ended up there was a tornado very close to her home, but thankfully missed her, AND my other sons family. Nope, I dont miss living in Oklahoma one bit!

Fine here. All of the storms formed just east of us. I could stand outside my work and see them form and watched the radar screen as they raced east and northeast.

A friend has a tornado cut a swath just a mile south of his home. He went outside to escort his wife from the car into the house and heard that tell tale roaring sound, only realizing later it was a tornado.

More bad weather expected during the week. So glad we have storm shelter.

I wouldn't live here without one.

Still, beats living in earthquake country. :)
