I had the amazing good fortune to pick 4 female ducklings from the TSC straight run bin 10 months ago. 3 Mallards and 1 Mal-mix.

I thought they had decided to wait for spring, but on New Year's Day they each layed (laid?) a beautiful egg. The top egg is a large chicken egg for comparison.

i always liked duck eggs better than chicken for the taste. But I dont have enuf room for ducks. sigh.

hillfarm, I have .167th of an acre. There is a house, a garage, and a shed on that land too. I have 6 ducks :D

Barredbuff, duck eggs are very similar to chicken eggs, but they are richer and better for baking. Duck egg quiche is WONDERFUL!
