I hear ya on wanting to hide for a bit. Some days I just want to walk away from everything. I feel like it's not worth the bother.

Yup, it's been one of those weeks, Deb. It sounds like such a good idea though, goatgurl!
Busy day today (what else is new i know....)
Got up, fed inside animals
Turned out ponies left in overnight for no rain at all (grumbles)
Put out fly predators
Took care of horses on the other farm
Made it to yoga on time (yay for yoga again! )
Back home, and grabbing quick lunch
Next up:
Feed horses here
Work 2 horses (hopefully.... really need to work storm, too, not just Othello)
Clean house inside
Decker
Declutter
Straighten up cat stuff in the bathroom
Vacuum again if at all possible
All before 3:00...

Yeah... not really. LOL.
I did get O worked. Didn't get to Storm (turned out ok though, so that was good). Did manage to get to the airport with time to spare, which was good, too. Got to eat my chickfila while waiting, and then picked her up and she ate while we drove home. We got there JUST in time for her to start teaching. I took care of the horses in the barn, and then my friend KE got there, and we started chatting. While we were talking, and lamenting about how challenging the week had been, the BF calls and says that the water isn't working at my friend's farm where we are farm sitting. He and I fail to communicate quite as effectively as we should have, and we're both frustrated with life, and on top of that his dad calls about an hour before a viewing starts for a family friend and says, oh, btw, the viewing is tonight. Then gets pissed at the BF when he tells him he's not going to be there. Sorry, not showing up at a viewing rushed, and stinking of farm work. Just not gonna be that rude, especially not with everything else we had to do on top of that. So I get in touch with my friend and she calls the plumber that had been doing work in the house that day and he says oh, yeah, forgot to turn water back on. He has horses so he should have KNOWN the water couldn't stay off. Just not thinking. So at least we didn't have to go back over there since the plumber was going to go turn it back on and fill up the water tub for the horses. So then BF gets home and goes into the house and discovered the air handler is making a horrid noise inside. As if we needed anything else to break.
So dinner got scrapped and we ended up going out to eat. It took forever at our local joint, which I'm not really pleased about. They've been in business a year, and they seem to be slipping a bit. I think its wearing on them.
So we finally get home and crash into bed.
Saturday morning I get started on lessons, which goes well. It was a long morning, but it was a good one. I found out that pretty much everybody else (including KN my instructor!) thought that the weekend was next weekend. SO we were all having rough weeks. Lessons went well, and I really maxed out my brain capacity. My brain was mush by the time it was over!
We finished lessons and I crashed for a bit, snacked, and then got in the tub to soak. My knee was killing me and I was really sore from all the work I'd been doing. Showered off, and then we headed down to the BF's grandparents for a multi person birthday party and a going away party for his brother. The weather was perfect for sitting out by the water and enjoying the view.
We finally headed home and stopped to take care of the horses first, and then crashed.
Sunday we got up, I headed to take care of my friend's horses, then got back and the hay guy was delivering the load I had ordered. The good news is that there is room for about 10 more bales in the barn, so I'll use these for another month or so, then call him and top it off right before winter. I have to do some figuring to see how long it will last me, and make sure I've got enough. If I have to prepay for more and have them delivered as soon as I have room again, then that is what I'll probably do. So I've got about $2000 in hay sitting in the barn right now, and I'll need more. That's scary and frustrating at the same time. I'm just hoping that I've over bought and I can sell it for a profit late in the winter. That will be gravy then!
Got the horses fed after he left, came in and changed and headed to the baseball game for the afternoon. It was a nice time, thankfully it wasn't any hotter than it was, because we were roasting in the upper deck as it was. The game was so s.l.o.w. I kept forgetting that there was something going on. I have never seen a baseball game take that much time. Then they ended up tied, and so we left because we had errands to run and the ponies to feed at my friend's place again. The BF also had a headache. I (probably not as kindly as I should have) pointed out that he has a headache EVERY time we come to a game or event like that. We took care of the horses and headed home, I dropped him off and grabbed the coupons I had forgotten to bring with me and ran up to Kohl's to shop. I had a coupon for $10 off of $30, plus a $10 kohl's cash coupon. I finally found a 7 quart crock pot to replace ours. I think mine is a 5 quart, so this will be great for making chicken stock. I'll get more stock out of it for the effort! I'll probably keep the other one, but I'll stick it in the closet for a while. She told me when I handed her the coupons that I couldn't use both, but then the total only came to $15.00 on a $35.00 crock pot. You do the math.... I didn't complain!
I grabbed chinese and headed home, we ate, and then jumped in the shower, then promptly crashed.
This week should be sort of busy. I'm in the office a couple days, and on the farm one day. That'll be the last day I'm on the farm, so that is over for sure now. I'll really miss the money, but thankfully I have some extra hours coming up in the office so that will help tremendously with the bills. And of course the office pays better than the farm so that's a good thing.
I need to get the house cleaned up before Wednesday when the a/c man comes because right now it is an embarrassment. KN is lucky she was allowed in the door, its so filthy! Now if only my knee would stop aching and popping we'll be doing much better!

Um, yes, Deb, and still am feeling :th
Lots has been going on, I've been so busy I can't figure out which way is up.
So after the baseball game and my lessons and having my knee hurt pretty bad, I called my Orthopedist. They first told me they couldn't get me in until the 24th. Ok, I wasn't surprised being football season (she's the head surgeons for the Ravens) and just her normal schedule. Then they called me back Tuesday morning and said they could get me in Thursday. Awesome. Then they call me back Tuesday evening and say "oh, sorry, that appointment time shouldn't have been booked... how about 7:15 in the morning?" :epOk... I'll take it.
Soooo that means up extra early to take care of horse chores and then race to the doctor's office. I made it late, and they took me back right away and I filled out paperwork in the room as I waited. She checks me out, and doesn't find anything major wrong, so she sends me for PT, which is good. She also gave me a new brace, which is fancy, and so I started wearing it.
Got to the office and then walked down to the PT place at lunch, since its in the same complex. Gave the gal at the desk my script, and she asks who I want to go to, so I tell her KM, and she says, would you like to come back at 2:30? I was like, um, ok! So I managed to get into the Orthopedists and into PT in the same week.... that has to be a record. When I showed up for PT, KM said that the doc must have seen my name on the schedule and bumped me up. I guess that's what you get for being a weird case.
So she evaluated me in PT and found that my right glute is really weak, and my left hamstring is really weak. Very interesting! I gave her the update on everything going on and the kinds of things i do in my life and so we put together a plan. She gave me home exercises to do, and set me up with appointments once a week for about a month. So the good news is its all muscular imbalance and so its very fixable, and will be a good thing to work on. She said she wasn't surprised, and said I just needed a bit of a tuneup now that its been 4 or 5 years since my surgery.
In the mean time I've been farm sitting off and on, which is good for the money but not for the schedule. Then my good friend BO went out of town for a week and a half, so I've been in the office on top of farm sitting. I've been exhausted this week and haven't been able to do a very good job keeping up around the house. We've barely managed to cook all week, thankfully, but the house and kitchen is getting worse and worse.
I'll be back in the office for a shorter day tomorrow, and then finally not be in the office on Friday. But I have to take care of 2 farms farm sitting, and I am GOING to yoga in the morning. That will take up most of my day until about 11:30 or so, then I have to hustle home, and somehow in the middle of all of that I need to eat lunch, clean the house and finish the last 3 valences that I have. JS is coming this weekend to do body work on the horses and people, and so the whole house needs to be clean. When KN is here teaching, I can get away with leaving the office messy, but when JS comes she needs the office to work on people on the massage table, so that means I have to take care of that, too. I'm about 3 months behind on my financial paperwork, and so all of that stuff is piled up, and I still have all the sewing stuff out. I REALLY want to get those valences finished so that I can put all the sewing stuff AWAY. I'm hoping that I'll wake up early on Friday morning (I probably will, since I've been getting up early for over a week now) and that I can get some cleaning done in the house before I leave, then work on the sewing when I get home and then clean some more. We'll see how well that works...
In the mean time I'm eating breakfast at my desk (yup, its 10:50...) and then I should get back to the file sorting that I'm doing here in the office... Wheeeeee
