Garden or not?

Would you have a veggie garden if you couldn't eat anything (or a significant amount) from it?

I will grow anything that I will and will not eat. Reason being is my mom and my daughter in law. They said that they would like to get some however where they live there is no room for a garden. Even if I was allergic to some food I would still plant it for others that can.

I grow far more than I can use. The people who receive the gifts from my garden are always happy to get them.

I volunteer at the local food bank/pantry. People bring in their extras in the summer and fall.

Grow veggies if you enjoy it and give away or donate.

Otherwise, maybe grow flowers or herbs just to enjoy the smell now?

The nearest food bank down in Orting has an "extra row" program they encourage gardeners to join. Basically plant a few extra plants or rows just to donate

Gardens are not mandatory. We do what we enjoy.

I would. I like growing things. Pumpkins and squash are pretty low maintenance and goats and chickens enjoy them. I actually might not panic so much about a weed or 12 if I were growing things for the critters, lol.

I could also donate to a food pantry. I need dirt therapy!

Assuming you are talking about your personal situation....does your family still enjoy the produce? Do you still cook for them? Those would guide my thoughts on doing the work.

I only grow what I eat, so no, if it was just me, I wouldn't
