Fried Dandelion Flowers

I just had a plate of these little things - they tasted like funnel cakes. Bring 'em on.

The first ones are just starting to flower here. I told DH that I'd make him some and he gave me the look. But I bet after the first one, he'll eat a plate of them. I did the last ones in a big puddle, much faster and easier to flip.

Yes they do! And they're good to just graze on. The yellow is really mild and pleasant tasting. The green part is somewhat bitter by itself, but I sure didn't notice anything in the battered dandelions.
Muddy puddle. Hey! Maybe a little chocolate puddle with a dandelion flower? New candy idea, eh?

Hard for me to get dandelions here. The chickens devour them.

I saw a bunch growing the other day and they were in a puddle! But, it was just a bit too muddy for me to want to go and grab them.

In England, traditionally, they are blanched before being picked and eaten. Loving the idea of dandelion jelly, totally got to give that a go.
