I haven't seen bare ground here at our place since the first snow fell. Even when the sun is out, we have too many trees around us to get more than an hour or so of actual sun-on-snow at this time of year. It's different in the summer- the sun is higher in the sky and the same piece of ground gets about 8 hours of sunlight. It's also been a lot colder this winter- lots of single digit temps. I'm hoping that ole groundhog will not see his shadow this Thursday!

We've been pretty lucky so far this winter. January was warmer than usual, wet with a good amount of rain, but no real snow that mattered. Temps are turning colder the next 10 days, anywhere from high 20's to high 30's, but still no major snow in the forecast. (Knock on wood)

I feel the same as ya'll and dang, Moon, hope you didn't just jinx us here on the E coast. PLEASE just give me more mild and a good Spring...even summer...that may be asking way too much!

Just checked today's weather...2 to 4 inches of lake effect snow today! Yesterday, there was no mention of this! Tomorrow, frozen mix! Just let me get my hands on that weather person. :smack

:idunno If we could just set our own weather..... VERY windy here today, like 20 steady & 30 gusts, warming later but cold now. Hard to handle much with such winds. Thankfully, no rain.

Oh man...that stinks.

We will be hitting...ahem... 75 degrees today with clear blue skies. Yesterday our humidity was less than 20% (unheard of here!). But, it's true - ask my chapped lips.... ugh.

Nice and sunny here right now but only in the 20's, 2-4 inches of snow coming in tonight through tomorrow. Bleh.
