Happy Thanksgiving

@baymule :hugs That all looks and sounds wonderful! I'll join you all in spirit this year :)

Yes, my second attempt at a pie crust. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I tried many years ago and miserably failed, so just bought pie crust. After rendering lard, I tried again, and it is amazing!

Sumi, wish I could send you some, but it would not be very good when it got there!

Went to my son's this year. Eat and worked on a old 1990 Ford pickup truck that wouldn't start. Traced it down to a bad coil pack but all auto parts store are closed so couldn't fix it.

Old tom got a pardon this Thanksgiving.

I was expecting a picture of a loaded down Thanksgiving dinner table :\ with O'l Tom the main attraction. :thumbsup Complete with a glowing report of how delicious :drool your home grown turkey tasted. And now I am disappointed. :hit

You can thank my MIL for this. She just up and decided, she was going to fix a Butterball. I've fixed the Thanksgiving turkey, every Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember. And is one of the reasons, I raise my own turkeys and she fully knows this. Who knows why? Maybe she looked at my turkey Tom and seen something she didn't like?

But to avoid a confortataion, I just decide, to keep my mouth shut. My MIL & FIL won't even eat the chicken eggs my hens lay, they say it's 'not natural". I don't get that rationale, but again, I just keep my mouth shut.

I have to respect my in-laws and their beliefs, but sometimes, it's aweful damn hard. The way I look at it, they we're raised when all this factory farming and food stuff made up in a lab crap started. They believe it's better for them, so who am I to say different? I have to admit, it's still hard for l me to bite my lip though.
