Thanks yeah the kitchen cabinets turned out pretty good. A couple of features not pictured are:

All the toe kicks are shallow drawers except for the sink cabinet. My wife found it good to store flat stuff in like pizza and cookie pans.

Lower cabinets have slide out shelves really nice to pull out a shelf and have a pot or pan right there instead bending down and sticking you head in the cabinet to try and find the one you want.

The drawer face next to the stove right hand side flips and pulls out to reviele a large maple cutting board you can slide the maple cutting board out and there is a drawer under it to store knives. I found this very handy being right next to the stove and all.

Current side project...

It's a rough template for a quad alternator bracket for 99 ~ 13 GM/Chevy/Hummer V8. For stuff like this I first make a template out of wood, then tweak it to fit. Once i'm happy with it, I'll use my router to duplicate it out of aluminum. This makes it easy and repeatable many times over.

As with most everything General everything is a angle or radius.

Chairs are one of the hardest woodworking items to make. The few I've built (rockers) are plainjane and nothing like the ones you pictured. Thanks for posting I really enjoy looking at woodworking items you post.

When I was a kid, my grandpa had some home made chairs out of hickory that had hide bottoms in them. I often wonder what ever happened to those chairs, wish I had them.

You're welcome! I'll post more as opportunity for pics come up and I can take them. They are a bit funny about pics inside a lot of places. Security I guess.

This is my wife's first Christmas present from me, when we got married a little over 33 years ago. I made this chair for her at my mentor's wood shop. Gordon Plinky my mentor, was very old, he had to be in his late 80's and the most patient man I ever known.

After I finished it and it dried I put it in her parents garage with a big red bow on it. I drove over to her parents in the middle of the night Christmas morning and brought back to our place, while she was sleeping. This is my wife's favorite rocking chair. She nursed many babies in it.

The glue on one of the butt joints, on the seat broke the other day and she just about cried. No worries Hun, I'll fix it... Oddly enough I'm using the same black pipe pony clamps I used when I built this chair.

Curved and carved back soft maple rocker, with a honey tinted laquer finish.

I know better now, to make seats a little thicker and use dowels to edge join wood peices. it gives glue a lot more to grip than edges of thin wood, like i made this seat out of. But after 33 years to have one joint let go, isn't to bad.
