I asked the folks over at BYC for their best pickled eggs recipes and surprisingly did not get much of a response! My girls are producing an overabundance of eggs and I was thinking about pickling some! Do y'all have any good pickled eggs recipes? I'd love to try out several variations!

*Edit- I'm really looking for shelf stable recipes for pantry storage.

I agree with Sumi. My husband likes to put his hard boiled eggs in my pickle jar (Vlastic). Tastes pretty good!

I got given a jar of pickled eggs years ago and I've been wanting more ever since. The lady that made them wouldn't give her recipe though. All she said was it was a very old recipe that they modified. I think the best you can do is try a few small batches with different recipes and see which one you like best? The one I posted the link to looks nice to me and that's where I'll start. If I ever get hold of eggs lol My hens are freeloading at the moment.

Ive never found a really good recipe.

If we've had the garlic and jalapeno green olives, I'll drop eggs in to pickle after they are done.

I've found I prefer the size of the silkie eggs for pickled eggs instead of large eggs. Heck I thought about getting a few serama hens just to have tiny pickling eggs.
