Another thing to check off. New car. Parted ways with my 2012 Ford Focus, 185K miles. Dodged the transmission problem plaguing that model. Kids and wife were worried I was driving on borrowed time and was going to get stuck somewhere.

Current job has me driving 100 miles per day. New Civic giving me 44 mpg.

Congrats. Traveling that mileage demands a reliable vehicle. Hubby was also forced to buy newer wheels during his last 2 years of work. He was also putting on 100 mi/day.

44MPG is great. A new job is even better. I used to drive 78 miles one way, sure am glad that is over! LOL Congrats on the new car. I had a 2003 Ford Focus wagon that I abused terribly. I totaled it on a freeway in Houston, wasn't hurt except for my feelings. It was a good car.

Saw some terrible news today. The 12 yrs old daughter of a former coworker pal was bullied (details dont matter) and was taunted that she should kill herself.....so she did....my heart is so sad tonight

I share your grief. Such things should never happen. Kids are vicious. And our current social system makes peer pressure even more destructive than it was back in our day.

Oops. Refrigerator died today. Landlord on getting a replacement TBD.

Lost a 5lb bag of shrimp. lol
