My wife got me a new alien gear shoulder holster. I like it, I like it a lot.

Not as consealed as as I would have liked with my tight chores coat on over it. It looks like I have lobsided titties. But the way it's tilted make for a quick and comfortable draw.

But it is fine with my loose coat I wear into town.

This will be a great holster for a hike in the woods and working around the homestead. When I go into town I'll wear my loose coat or switch to my outside waist side holster. (I'm not much of a fan of inside waist band holsters).

Alien gear makes great holsters right here in the good ole USA, I'm a big fan of their gear. And the lifetime warranty is frosting on the cake.

I have been looking for a shoulder holdster for myself. Hard to find a good one that works with a woman's curves...
I may have to buy a book on making leather holsters (a friend has the book, but he moved to Montana) so I can design and make one specifically for myself.

Try and call alien gear and see what they have for your pistol. Great folks there at Alien Gear.

Democratic controlled Virginia, have made a lot of their voters pretty upset. My parents, daughter, son-in-law with 2 grand children live in Virginia. They all are quite unhappy. What's odd about this... Is the 9mm S&W I just purchased, would be considered illegal in Virginia. Because it holds 16 rounds in it's mag.

Hmmm...well, I won't be looking at that gun then. VA here.

But I rarely use any I have. It is something I've been thinking I need to change up and do some practice. Then I will consider a new one, or not. Oh, I'm also concerned about how many firearms I may have here. Mostly just some hunting rifles and a small hand gun. They're tucked away, in cases. A lightweight pistol would be my choice.

My son in law was there today. I just heard the Rev Al on TV proclaiming some of the protesters are neo-nazis. The Rev is so out of touch with reality, it's actually comical. My son in law a former US Marine, is the exact opposite of a neo-nazi. If you watch the numerous videos, there were an estimated 12,000 protesters wearing their gun collections, a whopping 1 arrest and zero guns discharged. A armed peaceful protest to say the least.

Glad it was peaceful but, they did several arrests prior to this of what they described as "known Neo-Nazi" group members. With the amount of military we have here, I would expect decency and good training to prevail. However, the Charlottesville situation of recent past did add to the concerns.

With all the hunters, military (current & retired), abiding citizens who just want their guns, I don't expect any gun removals. It isn't the gun but the gunner they need to control. There are some deranged minds out there.

From what I heard, there was one young hot head who was trying to stir up trouble. He was quickly squelched by all of the gun toting protesters around him. Basically, they told him he wasn't welcome, and invited him to leave. He did. Seeing what I saw on the news last night: That protest made me PROUD to be an American. I rarely feel pride in that at all, based on the corruption, and other foolishness I see on a regular basis.

I took my wife out to dinner this evening after getting a little granddaughter loving. Upon leaving it was dark and I noticed my wife's bus had a headlight out. I side we'll drive into town with the foglights on and stop at the auto parts store and get a new light bulb before we go to dinner.

I got into town and got behind a state trooper at a stop light. The speed limit was 40 when the light turned green, the fastest this trooper would go was 30. Then he tapped his brakes. I got over in the right hand lane and passed him going 40. As I did he looked at me. Next thing I know, yep lights are flashing... and my wife said it's your long hair! I started laughing...

So I pulled over, thew on the emergency flashers and waited for the officer. My wife said aren't you going to roll down the window? Nope, my hands will stay right on this steering wheel, unless he tells me otherwise. The officer walked up to the window and I could hear his dog barking in the squad car behind us. He tapped on the window and asked me to roll it down, so I did.

he said, do you know you have a head light out? I said yes sir and we were just going to the auto parts store to get a new one, that's why I have my fog lights on. Then I said, I want to inform you that I'm a consealed carry permit holder. Much to my surpise, he said thank you for letting me know. Then he said, Good, everyone should have a consealed carry permit, well not everyone but most everyone. Then he asked for my licence and insurance. He took my license back to the squad car. He came back in a few minutes with my license and said as he handed me my licence back, just a verbal warning tonight.

And that was it, easy smeazy... No if and or butts, not get out of the vehicle with your hands where I can see them, no frisk, no unloading, no nothing, just a "Good"... It was very pleasant experience for the first time being pulled over while consealed carrying. and not at all like some of the strange stories you might have read about on the internet.

In all honesty though, my wife is so pretty and all dolled up for dinner, she probably hypnosised the poor guy :)
