Owner counter offered, but the gap between our offer and theirs is to wide.

I'm kind of sad about it, my wife isn't as sad as I am.

But it just wasn't meant to be. If it was as meant to be, things would just fall into place, which there not.

This ain't my first rodeo. Next...

You will find that right place. We looked for awhile before we bought this place. It was a HUD repo, up for bid for 9 days. We won the bid and hadn’t even seen the place.

Well after a long conversation with my wife, about life and growing old and stuff... I finally understand why she wants to live closer to the family. She's thinking just like I am, last move and that's it. But then she just up and asked me, so if something were to happen to me, would you be ok taking care of everything by yourself?

I said so you mean if you kick the bucket first? She said yes. I said well that's a easy answer. The answer is No, I would have to find me another woman. She said are you sure about that? Yeah, I'm pretty sure... They are fun to be with, most of the time 😁.

Then I said well what about you? She said well I would just up and sell the place and move in with one of the kids. I so what no guy? She said nah... So that settles that, I guess.

We just got back from looking at this place, that I wanted to look at a few weeks ago. Wife loves it, we put in a offer tommorow.

1500sqft/16 wooded acres, within the Shawnee National Forest.

Yeah, the younger lady who owns the place come to her senses and we settled in on a price.

it'll be fun having 20 acres to play around with. This will be our last move. I'm kind of hoping you all will give me pointers on putting some hoofs on the ground. I really want a couple head of beef cattle and some sheep. But that's a little later down the road. First want to see if the pond is deep enough to support stocking with trout. I guess a story stick and a canoe would give me a rough estimate. I plan I piping rain water off the west & east sides of the barn to keep the pond full. Also same plan for filling the cistern for the orchard.
