@Trying2keepitReal are you actually doing a delivery route today? Ok THAT would sure be a challenge!

We had two fronts blow in and meet up at my house -- uninvited. How rude! Heavy winds and 2" of rain that turned into wet snow for a few hrs at end. But, only an inch, melting fast this morning! 😁 full sunshine and 34 now. Couldn't do what y'all have. That's why I live here.

Nothing today--tomorrow morning the weather will be here. The only delivering I do is kids to school :p during the year. In the summer I do veggies and eggs to friends/neighbors but not in the winter, plows are county workers not state funded so we don't typically get plowed or salted until after noon.

We have been graced with ice covered roads and paths... and then temps went back down... so the new snow hasn't welded to the ice... and it is tricky to walk.

I have already fallen twice this winter...not bad... but still... not pleasant. I am starting to think I will have to start walking with 2 ski poles with spikes on the end.. like my dad did.

sometimes the efforts you make while trying not to fall are as bad or worse than the damage you take in hitting the ground, but yeah, those poles do come in handy.
So true!!!

I was wearing my spiked/studded shoes... but the ice was too cold and hard for them to work... so they were just ice skates..

I think I need to have 4 sets of winter boots... each for a slightly different set of circumstances... and then pay enough attention to use them properly!

Or I could just always use the 2 ski poles... for 9 months straight... whatever the weather....

Dunno

I can be pretty stupid... and I don't realize it is icy until I am flat on my face.
