if you put digits it helps if you also put down the C or the F since we're still in a mixed up world. :)

i haven't looked yet this morning, but it was nice and pink for a bit and now it is snowing. probably about 20F.

We're at 23 and winds here in VA, coastal. About 4 inches of snow overnight. this is huge here....we're of the sunny beach group. 😁 This is not fun.

I could never, ever live in those "below" temps. No, nada, ain't happening. :old 😶

-18 this morning says my weather app, but my parents down the road have -29 on their thermometer so I guess my weather app is underestimating the situation 😂
$hip on a stick! That's cold, lol.

My question for you cold weather folks - does it get to a point where cold is just cold? I mean, can you really tell much difference between 10 and -10?

10 to -10 yes, -10 to -29, no not really, lol. I guess if I was outside for hours in it I could tell but once it hits -10 it all pretty much feels the same in the time it takes me to do chores.
I agree! Below 0 is just really freaking cold. The only different to me is my car seats don't squish at -20 or colder and my car radio/screen electronics malfunction below -20.

yes. :) but to me the biggest factors are if it is raining vs. snowing and the amount of wind involved. i used to purposely go out hiking in blizzards, i knew how to dress properly and had the right boots and always had a great time with it. when i got back other than having a hat and facemask plastered with snow and perhaps some frozen stuff in any bits of exposed beard it was generally more wet from sweat than anything. not cold until i stopped. just make sure your coat, pants, boots and mittens are not restricting the blood flow to your extremities and all should be well.

for the most part. :)

6F this morning which is pretty cold for us. No snow or anything like @Mini Horses got on the eastern side of the state. Sun was out today and no wind so wasn't bad... was 29F on the recording thermometer and in the sun earlier it was 40 but I did have some snow melting when I went out to the chickens. The waterer in the greenhouse shelter for the chickens did not freeze solid and the sun on it had warmed it up to where it was partially thawed. They did not get excited over the water I brought out.... Supposed to be in the 40's the next few days, nights in the 20's.... normal for us.
