I saw that episode and while it worked for feet trimming - I can't see any animal tolerating being castrated because they're flipped on their back.
It worked for that because she is a vet and used it to administer the sedative prior to the castration.

Nice trenches, you'll be happy you did this. Maybe you'll escape the wrath of a wife with a big stick after all 👍

I believe if a guy could figure out how to yoke two of these together and get them rooting in a straight line he could have one great tatter patch.

Single bottom plows.

You can buy a wormer specifically for pigs - but I just use a tube of ivermectin for horses. I smear some on a piece of bread (doughnuts work better) and toss it at 'em.

If I think my pig looks about 50 lbs - I'll give it about a 100lb dose. (but that's just me - you give an amount that you're comfortable with) I'll repeat it again in about 10-14 days and I've had decent luck with that.

Thanks for that 👍

I seen injectable ivermectin for cattle and swine.

I already have pour on ivermectin for the cattle and it wasn't easy to find. But now I have more than I'll probably ever need. I was hoping I could use the pour on for swine also.

Yes, you can use the pour on. We have. Use it on a WARM DAY... pour down the top line..... use it for the same weight or a little heavier... 50 lb pigs use 50-75 lb dose. Do again in 10-14 days....
We have also used it mixed in some milk... yep, you can use the pour on internally.... IVERMECTIN is VERY FORGIVING.. But they might not like the taste so we used it mixed on the light side in a not very big pan of milk.

And if you are into alternative treatments for covid, ivermectin "spilled" on your skin won't hurt you.... We regularly have it get spilled on us when we are "running cattle through the chute".
