someone is offering me free pot bellied pigs. im gonna take him up on it. whats the best feed for a feeder pig to taste good?

I’ve always just fed a little pig grain, lots of veggie scraps and hay. Be careful with how much grain you feed, pot bellies like to get fat. I’ve never eaten a pot belly but I know people do.

im not sure exactly how much pot belly they are. they are kinda tame but look alot like wild hogs.

They were developed as small lard type pigs in asian countries. Only Americans take a food animal and turn it into a pet.

I like rabbit and I'd eat a guinea pig. They were bred for food. Supposed to be pretty good.

They may have a cross with AGH. You should hope so, it's good meat! Another lard hog but, not as much as the PBs. It's darker red meat, not the white stuff you buy. And be sure to render the leaf fat when you butcher. Great stuff. 😁. Oh, they will take longer to grow out than the big ones. Mine were yr old but excellent, about 200#. Of course you can butcher sooner, smaller. They look good. More fun!

OH, I fed mine the grass when I mowed. They loved it!! Garbage cans...nothing goes to waste. Your chickens will be jealous.
