I revised my resolutions, I crossed off the one about planning meals a day in advance. Easier to not buy junk food than to make a plan.

I have not been faithful with indoor bike routine the past few days. However, I've been able to sit at a table to work at my computer rather than laying in bed (which has been the case since I had flu in December), so I'm still feeling like I'm making progress. Must return to bike routine anyway!

i stretched a bit today. my legs are always tight, it takes a long time for me to get them to stretch, my lower back is always iffy so i have to also be careful that i'm not shifting things too quickly or i can end up making things much worse. still been doing leg exercises as i have to keep my legs in shape for gardening season or spring is hard on me to get those back into shape. no problems with knees so far. it actually helps my knees to keep my legs strong. i know i've been slacking off too much when my left knee starts to ache - that injury happened when i flew over the handlebars of the motorcycle and hooked my toe on the grip as i flew by.

So my new approach may be working. Attacking in small chunks. Keep at it until my worry I should be doing something else kicks in.
It took me a few weekends, but the box of old financial stuff is shredded - some 20 years old.
I need to do this! I have boxes of my mom's old records plus some of my stuff. I was going to set the HUGE pile of branches on fire, but the buyers are looking forward to a bonfire, LOL I guess I'll take it with me and deal with it at the new to me house.

I have fallen down on my situps. But I traded them for lifting boxes, standing, packing boxes and loading truck/trailer. Doesn't that count?

Now my bed is gone, I'm sleeping in my recliner or a mooshy air mattress, so nowhere to do my situps anyway. BTW, an air mattress is COLD to sleep on! it must absorb the chill from the floor and transmit it directly to me!

The financial problems were not because of the divorce. The ex was horrible with money. Found some stuff I had not been aware of from during the marriage. Whew, all good

we have a friend who ran into some real great things the past few months, her husband was from Canada and owns several houses there but had never paid taxes so they had to try to get that figured out and then he recently also passed away. i don't know how bad she's in for but i suspect it's 7 figures.

one reason i have a very hard time thinking about getting married is that i manage my finances pretty well and i have a budget and plans for when i need some things to be available and other times when i don't have to pay attention to any of it at all. once you add someone else in the mix things just get a bit too messy for me. and, then, that trust thing...

Just gotta find someone as frugal or more frugal than you are!

Then again, marriage is a legal arrangement for the benefit of a spouse who does not earn income or earn sufficient income. It's not necessary if both partners are financially SS. It's not necessary to live with your partner/spouse either - nor is it necessary to live far away. The duplex is becoming a thing for spouses/partners and blended families.

Don't throw away the baby with the bath water is all I'm saying.
