...Some things are easier when the ground is frozen. I'll probably be the only one you know who fertilizes the garden with chicken manure and wood ashes, when it's froze up solid. Better than wading in the mud 😂

if your gardens are really level and you don't get run off that is ok, but for many people that's the worst thing to do as the run off when the snow melts will take the nutrients off into the surrounding ditches or streams.

if you can't turn it in and there might be run off please don't put it out people. the rivers already have enough nutrients in them as it is and causes problems for the lakes and oceans downstream.

No chance of run off here, my garden could be likened to a swimming pool. 🙄

DD and family are in Miami, just to get some sun and to see the sights. I've only been there for work, one overnight. She'll be coming back to chances of snow this weekend.

I unpacked 8 boxes today! I got books in bookcases and ran a load of kitchen stuff in the dishwasher. All put away, boxes broke down. Then a friend came over with her daughter and we had hot tea several times, the girls too.

I'm a mutt, grew up in Northern IL. Moved to the Piedmont of North Carolina to raise our kids, then moved to Southern IL.

My first new word in BoYin's.

Bo is friend (this is from the Piedmont of North Carolina).
Yin's is all you all (this comes from ozarkian of southern IL)

So when I put the two words together and say it slowly, it means all you all are my friends, BoYin's
