Tortoise: do you have UC or something similar? I looked up that compound and see that it repairs intestinal cellular structures. I might have EPI. Need to test for it.
Funny you said that. I got one of my big lab reports back. Looks like EPI to my non-MD interpretation skills. 😲

I'm trimming my budget again. Between private-pay doctor appointments in the next few months and car repairs, I needed to tighten up my purse strings. They're plenty loose, I won't be suffering.

Cancelled my gym membership (save $55/month). Switched an app subscription from monthly to annual (save $3.99/month). Change some grocery shopping habits like buying berries in winter (save $100+/month). Don't buy dog treats - thank goodness S is starting to be calm-ish-enough to eat cheap treats when I train him at the farm store (save $150/month). I'll have to cut back significantly on 4-H expenses - thankfully most of the meetings I plan for are already past. I'll have to have DS15 bake dog treats for the shelter (save $50/month). I need to cut out fast food - healthy snacks from gas station - completely (save $125/month). Kids won't have swim lessons in summer (save $240 tuition plus $76 in fuel/6 weeks). That will get me to about 80% of how much I need to cut.

I've been very, very spoiled. 🥰 It's temporary. Once my health stuff is sorted out, I should be able to indulge again.

I taught some 4-H kids how to sew today. I didn't need to do much - 2 older kids had sewn with me before so they helped the younger ones sew. We sewed cloth bags to donate to the library. They use them instead of plastic bags.
Your library uses bags?🤣 I don’t know if I’ve ever had a library with bags, you bring your own!

Spring break week. My kids have a long list of 4-H projects to get done. They are behind on pre-fair events - cake decorating, clothing, and foods. Gonna be a hellish week, but I'll be relieved to get some stuff done. DS15 wants to do EVERYTHING, but he will never accomplish anything without structure and constant supervision and he'll fight every step of the way.

DS15
  • Finish prepping an activity for grades K-2, and send example photos this morning
  • Bake and dehydrate dog treat
  • Sew dog toy (done this morning)
  • Make sign to go with dog treat and dog toy fair entry
  • Bake cakes (done last night), sculpt, dehydrate, crumb coat. Make a paper pattern for fondant decorations
  • Cut, sew, and fit toiles for sweatpants and sweatshirt. Buy fabric and cut final pattern pieces. (Bonus if he can sew them, and cricuit cut/heat press)
  • Sew leash wraps - only ones left are ones he did wrong and has to re-do.
  • Plan/prepare a demonstration
  • 6 dog posters
  • Dog agility course diorama
  • other posters, IDK what he plans to do this year. Probably sheep, dairy, small engines
DS7
  • Make a poster (done this morning)
  • Sew dog toy (done this morning)
  • Crumb coat on cupcakes, make shopping list for supplies to decorate them
  • Inventory completed fair projects, repair/replace as needed, make labels
