i went out and picked a bucket of peppers for making stuffed peppers. Mom said pick as many as you did last time so i did and then she said she didn't want that many, uhhh...

we'll give them to friends or eat them or perhaps i'll chunk them up and freeze them for chili. i dunno yet.

the lighthouse had a panel of stained glass blown out of it several months ago. i'd gotten the glass cleaned up and Mom had purchased replacement stained glass, but i did not think i should do this with just me as i needed to get the glass in place and then secure it and i'd need at least three hands for that... today a guy that my brother hires for some of his jobs came over and we had it done in about a half hour and then he helped with another project that could use an extra hand so that was just another 15 minutes. then we fed him.
i asked him if he would help me replace the fence that hasn't been right since it was put in about 25yrs ago. it's falling down and has gaps underneath the edge now that bunnies and groundhogs can come right through so it's time for it to be replaced before the next growing season (either this fall or next spring or both). sounds possible... so we'll see how it goes...
