i vote for goat on the porch... i used to have that happen at the apartment i was renting in TN up in the hills, the guy had a field with a pony and some goats there to keep each other company but the goats would often get out and come visit me (because i gave them carrots and they were no dummies). i'd just call the landlord and he'd walk over and fetch them.

Fence the front and open at night to the LGDs?
Great idea - but a massive expense.

We will be getting cameras that have two-way communication. I'll cuss 'em out and scare them away with the pure venom in my voice!!

Still working on trip preps. We leave 2 weeks from today. It shouldn't be this hard to get prepared for a week-long trip. However, packing for DH is worse than packing for an infant, lol. Adaptive devices (walker, wheelchair), meds, diabetic supplies, electronic medical devices...that's all before we even talk about clothes and toiletries. ARGH!

My washing machine is having a temper tantrum. Won't fill all the way. I have to stand there and keep hitting the fill button. Don't need this aggravation.

DS and DIL coming for dinner today and we'll do some trip/route planning. DH wanted to fly, but DS and DIL won't fly at all - so we drive. Right now I'm watching the morning news and they are talking about 4 or 5 hour waits to get through TSA checkpoints. No thank you! However, our drive will be approximately 16 hours. Bonding time, right?

We got rain Sat night and on and off all day yesterday. Mud makes things so much nicer. Pigs are the only critters that love the dang mud. It makes everything more challenging. And, as a bonus, we'll probably get hit again on Wednesday. YaY!
