i vote for goat on the porch... i used to have that happen at the apartment i was renting in TN up in the hills, the guy had a field with a pony and some goats there to keep each other company but the goats would often get out and come visit me (because i gave them carrots and they were no dummies). i'd just call the landlord and he'd walk over and fetch them.

Great idea - but a massive expense.

We will be getting cameras that have two-way communication. I'll cuss 'em out and scare them away with the pure venom in my voice!!

door not latched and gust of wind...

Door was possibly not locked but it WAS latched. Alarm won't set if the door is not latched. Gust of wind would have to have gone through the storm door.
