What did you do in your garden today?

I planted cilantro in with my strawberry plants and kept them mostly in the shade. I also watered them every time I went outside. My parsley plant got so big it started to become a tree. Green onions are a total loss every time I try to grow them.
Haha! Isn't it crazy how different people have different experiences with gardening?! From seed i can grow green onions. But if I buy a bunch from the store, plant them, and let some go to seed themselves then I'll have some next year, and the next ect. They don't like my help!
We use alot of parsley, so i would adore a parsley tree!!!

I loved having it but it was growing up into the pump house so I had to take it out. I had so much parsley for months.

I grow most of my herbs in pots. Easier for me to keep grass out or to cover with a bag if we have very cold temps in forecast.

I need to dig more peppermint out of the ground around the back door and pot them. I'll probably lose the plant there when we demolish the house. This is oil peppermint that grandma first got back in the 90s. I think Moms died last winter so she may need a start back

yesterday i was stuck inside most of the day even if it was sunny and fairly warm outside. today it is raining a bit so i'm not planning on doing anything outside. plenty of things i can get up to inside. spot cleaning here or there and getting rid of some clutter would be a good idea - not too likely to do more than i've already done... :)

In the past week or so I've trimmed around the raised beds. I'd like to get those paths mulched, but before I do that I need to mulch the beds themselves.
if you can get wood chips they work great,,, laying down a good layer of cardboard and paper feed bags then wet it down and put wood chips is great for pathways

I have done that in the past, but my source of chips is no longer available. I still use cardboard and/or feed bags but tend to top them with old hay now since that is my most abundant source of material. :)
