I had hopes that someone had come across something. It is frustrating when you don't have very many options and they are all at least a 40 min. drive, but I would still rather live were I do. Thanks and if someone has something toss it up for the rest of us.
Does anyone know an online grocery store to suggest. I'd like to buy bulk flour, rice, beans--the staples, since there is no where for me to buy in bulk. I'm also interested in cases of stuff like Cheerios and such.
Am I wasting my time looking into this? Will the shipping kill me in cost?
I believe your thinking about wood shavings. Sawdust wouldn't me any different than any of the others. I was just putting down ALL the options that I've come across. Everyone is having trouble with oil n' such.
I know, the sawdust didn't appeal to me too much either.:/
Dry shampoos don't have to be expensive!
Almond meal, bran, cornmeal, oatmeal, sawdust, or talc. can be sprinkled through the hair, left in for 3-5 minutes, then brushed out. Mixing a tablespoon of baking soda with any of these substances aids odor control. Place your favorite dried flowers...
Now your making me sad. Say it's cruel to have only one, they are flock animals. I have only one duck, someone dumped it at my father in laws. No idea what kind, just a big white duck.
VERY noisy, follows us everywhere. Can't dig a hole without the duck sticking it's head or body in there...
Ignorant question, but when you say mix in. Do you actually scramble the egg when you add the salt or just kinda swoosh it around. I've never done it before.
Does it make them rubbery or something when you freeze them? Is it something that you can tell if you add them to breads or just if...
I just have a cheap plastic one that my mother in law gave me. I just pulled out a little table and layered it with towels. Same deal for me, juice running down my arms. I'd just rub my arms along the towel as I was working or rest my arms on the towels as I did it. I kept some wrinkly...
As I was eating my cereal and coffee this morning it made me think of another one. Items like coffee creamer and Soy Dream say to discard after seven days. That is a bunch of Hooey, an evil plot to make you spend more money.
I've been working on the creamer for three weeks now and the Soy...
I figured about the tuna, just wishful thinking. If there was one, I would quickly learn how to fish it. You can believe that.
There was someone who had canned Buffalo bones and all. They said that by the time it was ready the bones are completely dissolved. I think it was made like...
We always like to stock up on fish when possible and it takes up a lot of valuable deep freeze space.... So we've been talking canning.
Any favorite fish or techniques? Probably a bone head question, but are there any other fish that I could can that taste like tuna. I LOVE regular ol'...
I noticed that my message made it seem that I NEVER use paper towels, but I do use them for when there is fried food or bacon/sausage. I don't want to be a lier. One thing that helps is to put layers of newspaper down then one paper towel. I get all the newspaper I need from my mom. She...
"those days of paying for free meat to be processed are over. It slices like buttah, I dance everytime I use it "
I hear ya. We don't have our own my my inlaws have what seems to me a mini deli at thier place. So I do my dance on the inside.
I was thinking the pulled pork too. Or make a caserole, or stir fry. Chop it up and put it in an omelet.
We follow the rule about eating the left overs till none are left in the fridge. My hubby eats left overs for lunch.
Definately grow and preserve every bit of food you can. ONe of the...
Refried beans! I make mine in a big crock pot so I have plenty to save.
That was a good find.
Speaking of getting jars. Someone gave me some old jars that have been sitting under a house for YEARS and they look ruff, not chipped just dirt, dust, some have oxidation. Are those still safe...
