    Blood Clots?

Yeah, I'm wondering about this doc. My late mother in law was on warfin. She had her blood levels checked every four weeks. This doc only checked mine once, last December! Was checked by surgeon right before I had tumor removed. I'm also on simvistatin for cholesterol. I hate taking pills...

    Blood Clots?

I really would like to get off warfin! Last fall I went to E.R. thinking I was having relapse of diverticulitis. What the doc's found were blood clots on my lower lungs near my upper G.I. track. Needless to say, I was very concerned. Only four months earlier I had a colonectmy, during which...

With no job, there's no budget!

Honestly, I'm on a half dozen job search engines. Never heard if Fiverr. Will google asap! Love all the tips I've been getting.

    cast iron

Just thought tea pot would be nice addition to collection. Especially at such a low price. Of course, not working, might as well be a million dollars. Doesn't hurt to dream though! LOL

    My Kitchen Aid

I was thinking perhaps it just needs the innards lubed up a bit. Still performs great, just gets hot! Oh, and since I've so many accessories, figure a new one (bigger) is on the want list. Wanna get Kitchen Aid food processor first though.

    My Kitchen Aid

I inherited my mother's Kitchen Aid she bought around 1977. It was your typical 350a or something liks that everyone owned at the time. I used this mixer quite extensively until December of 2012 when my family and I moved. I was using mostly for making some artisan bread from a recipe I found...

    cast iron

Ugh! Wish I was working!!! After going through want/gig ads, I checked sales for cast iron. Someone near me has a cast tea pot. Think they're asking $20 for it. Someone else has a huge Calderon for $60! Still wondering about taking my grinder with sanding discs to my generic Lodge stuff? Seen...

    Low Cost Houses?

I try as best as possible. Most places online are membership based. Same goes for sellers willing to do lease option contracts. I also keep tabs on Home Path for HUD owned properties.

What did you do to save $ today?

Doing patches to recent reinstall of Windows, so I can continue job search. Using phone, joined a Missouri Homesteading Facebook page, so we can get to know area better. Getting some good times on where we can save on price of homestead, and not have to worry about live stock issues.

    cast iron

I need more too! Have modest collection now. Mostly Lodge brand. Did get a nice oven baker from a second hand shop for $2. Amazing what you can find at Goodwill, Savers, Salvation Army stores! Would really like to find the same dutch oven my troop used. It was bigger then the Lodge one I...

With no job, there's no budget!

I couldn't agree more. While unemployment here is high, it seems to be heading in the right direction. I hit CL daily looking at the jobs section as well as the gigs area. Even gone so far as offering my labor in trade for affew things we need in the barter section. Right now, this week...

    cast iron

I fell in love with cooking with cast iron many years ago when I was in boy scouts. Loved working with it ever since! And while I have 30+ years of knowledge on how to properly season, and maintain cast, I do have a few questions. I'd like to take my love of cast to the next level...

    Low Cost Houses?

I know they're out there. Every so often you'll see a news piece on cheap or free homes. Tried googling sources, but most links look shady or want a membership fee. I'm talking about empty homes that cities or states actually encourage you to take them over. This isn't about squatting...

    Planting Roots

I apperciate all comments. Deb, that's the information I'm really looking for. Of couse opinion is welcome as well. For example my wife was just reading that Florida is one of the most stressed out states. I can see why, when you've an 11% unemployment rate! With a child still in school that's...
