    What an adventure!

I don't know much first hand about skunks, and I am not sure how P.C. we need to be on this list, but ground hogs are good eating. My relatives ate them quite a bit during the great depression (which has still not ended in the mountains of Eastern Alabama). ;) Lawana

Britesea - Living the good life in rural Oregon

I have enjoyed reading this thread. I haven't been around much, I have been busily wild crafting herbs, rose hips, elderberries and mountain ash berries, some more mullein and Yarrow too. Just got a batch of my herbal astringent/topical I call Ultra Heal, going. We are also scoring some mullein...

    How was your day?

Ohhhhh! We raised 2 baby squirrels years ago. Named them Chip and Dale. We had to let them go when they were about half grown because they got into such mischief! We took them to our friend's house who had pecan trees and loved squirrels. That was a fun time. Lawana

It isn't a federally controlled invasive exotic, that I can tell anyway. I can't find where it is illegal here in Montana. Having grown up with it, I totally understand what you are talking about. I have also been thinking about it as a container plant inside. I read about it and it seems to do...

No worries! I grew up watching Kudzu eat every tree and abandoned building in Northeast Alabama! I AM a bit of a mad (herb) scientist! I have plans to start it in a reinforced container. I want to have a supply for some nutritional studies, I want to do. Yeah...I'm crazy. In my climate, you buy...

They aren't sweet. Tart a d sandy. We only use them dried and added to mullein tea. It makes a wonderful keep well tea. Tastes great with local honey or choke cherry juice. Do you grow or wildcraft any herbs? I could always use spearmint, or sassafras, or rootstock for kudzu to trade. What...

There are lots this year. We will work hard to get them picked and dried. I don't know what to charge really. We can figure that out later...maybe you have something you want to trade?

    Hi from Montana

I also love comfrey, except the scent. I use a lot of yarrow and plantain topically. It smells a little nicer to me. Comfrey is more potent though, I think.
