Have a hankering for some baked beans. So I got a jar I canned from pantry for tonight. Not sure what I'll have with but, gonna have my crave fix.😊 Pulled a pint of canned chicken out chicken salad for lunches this week at work. Easy fix & healthy. Better get a loaf of bread going.

last night it was fresh blueberry pie filling (we normally don't bother with the graham cracker crust), it is basically fresh whole blueberries (not cooked at all - just sort out the fuzzy ones and pull off some stems and that's about it for them) and some pudding that is made from butter, water, flour and sugar (very simple). whipped cream is ok on it, but i consider that very optional if the blueberries are good i like them to be the main attraction. :)

I sometimes make a thick patty of ground beef, and caramelized onions cooking too. Adds the flavor you miss from condiments on a burger. Fast meal.

we often take a can of mushrooms and use those instead of anything else. it works well for me as i avoid a lot of calories that would come from the Miracle Whip and ketchup i'd love to pile on with plenty of fresh chopped onions.

Wednesday I cooked us apple wood smoked chicken. Our ccx chicken and our apple wood. Recipe is easy... I thinly coated the chicken with warm homemade beef tallow and sprinkled with redmond salt and cracked black pepper corns. I went for a light smoke and cooked at 350 for the first hour then 250 for like 3 more hours to an internal temperature of 175. And it turned out juicy, tender and great tasting👍

We eat 1/2, the other 1/2 I suspect will become chicken tacos or chicken salad or something else. Pictured is 1/2 we bagged and put in the refrigerator.

yesterday Mom said she wanted onion rings so we went to our sortof local place we like to go for a burger and onion rings. as we're driving there i mentioned that the last time we were there that they had run out of onion rings so she said we'd go someplace else until we found some.

glad to say we didn't have to do that and it was a good burger and onion rings for sure. :)

today was bean burritoes without the wrapper again, plus before i had that i cut up a melon (store bought but at least it was ok in flavor and not bland).
