I missed this thread as well, I've been camped out in the journal section waiting for updates. Congrats on the babies! Glad to hear the little (big) one is doing ok now.
I agree on saying home. I am working from home today and the kids school got canceled. It was sleeting around 5:30am then at 6:30am it turned into a light snow. A little later it was snowing sideways and so hard I could barely see the neighbors house across the road.
Did your kids have school...
I hope your animals don't wash away tomorrow! I just got done watching the news and Franklin is one of only 7 counties not under a watch/warning. I am really close to the county line between Licking and Knox so I know we will get something, just gotta wait and see exactly what. The drive home...
:yuckyuck
You are all so funny! I will be joining you soon SD, my daughter has 2 mini rex bunnies and my son has 2 New Zealands that we will be breeding this weekend. Good luck!
Wow, it must be a daughter thing. My daughter loves, dirt, mud, bugs, worms and plays with it all while wearing a beautiful dress and either bare feet or nice dress shoes.
I don't know where she gets the dress thing. I couldn't stand dresses when I was younger and still hate them...
Wow sorry to hear about all the snow. I think we got about 3-4" and the kids school got canceled. I am working from home today but my hubby's drive took him over an hour and it's usually only 25-30 min. I hope you made it out to your new job ok today.
Thanks so much for the picture! I am going to price everything to see how much its going to be and we will then make a decision for sure.
I have seen some of those close up photos and they are so funny!
Java, I think I remember seeing a pic somewhere of your fencing. Can you tell me what kind of fencing you have and do you have wooden posts or T posts and how that's working for you.
I saw Lori's fencing and it is beautiful but I am not sure I want to do wooden posts yet. We are hoping to move...
I agree, I have had to run there a few times on my lunch and I don't really like going to that TSC. It is a very strange location for one...
You could just open your own farm store. :D
I agree with Java. This type of life was never on my radar either. I knew I wanted to live out here because I love it, but never thought about animals until the kids got into 4-H and we got rabbits, then chickens, and soon goats! I grew up out in the country and always loved animals so it makes...
Good luck with the disbudding. That is the one thing that makes me nervous but I am sure someone in our 4-H group will be able to help when it comes to that.
That is hilarious about the cat!!!
So far I have been ok with animal grossness, but I am the same in that I don't want to see human slimy, bloody, gross anything. :sick My husband can watch when they take blood, I can not do it. I hate shots, can't watch shows with too much blood and guts, ick...
