We have blanched them in the past and didn't care for the texture when we thawed and cooked them. They seemed tougher. We flash freeze, then vacuum seal in meal sized portions immediately and they seem to stay firmer and fresher. I admit they don't stay around to long in the freezer, 3 to 5...

I have been WAY to busy to do an update, so here it is! 6 weeks ago The Wife had the first(right foot) of 2 foot surgeries. Both surgeries were basically the same; correct bunions and hammer toes. So far everything is going along great. I have been performing "House Elf" duties.....cooking...

That's how we do ours..........we never blanch asparagus before freezing, but we vacuum seal it.
