Pretty much over the sickness. Main thing was getting over dehydration. Once that was in check life got better.
Bottle baby is very happy, took a nap in my lap today.
Getting things in order. It’s hard to know where to start, just keep trying I guess.
If your son is celiac I’d wonder about doing a table for gluten free. That way guests don’t cross contaminate serving ware and everything. Cuts down risk of crumbs getting where they don’t belong.
Or even food stations instead of a buffet.
Oh, absolutely appreciated!
My family uses tons of herbs, it’s hard to imagine anything going to waste. And if I don’t I’ll probably know someone who will (or sell at the farmer’s market lol).
And if I came around right around when they’re ready to harvest I could bring them in and dry them...
Worked a very little bit in the garden today. It’s a hot mess. And I’m sick. Only gave it about an hour before coming in. Some is better than none?
The real question I’m contemplating right now is what to do with my raised beds. They’re beautiful and have been nurtured for years. I don’t want...
Your advice is more than welcome.
It’s not so much an if I get them but how. I do know it will likely be harder once married, but I also know without my current responsibilities I might go stir crazy (you can always find something to do though).
Which is why I’m in a which order does each thing...
Howdy.
It has been a while since I’ve posted here, and so much has changed. Hope everyone is well.
It’s nice being back on, catching up. Honestly I don’t know if I’ll belong on here too much longer. If God stays in it I’m going to be moving.
To post a (not so) brief catch up. I couldn’t...
Hay, water, sometimes pellets. Check for illness.
I went on a trip back in November. Hired a pet sitter for the first two days and neighborhood kid for the others. Seeing who would do a better job and be reliable in the future. Turns out kid lived on a dairy farm few years back. Pet sitter…...
Vinegar for most things. We have a kitchen cleaner made with different oils.
I’m not going to lie though, if it’s bad I go straight for bleach. Bleach, warm water, and gloves. Especially if I’ve had a sick animal around.
Betty goat is eating well. We got our first hop tonight. Gonna keep praying.
Sheep is limping badly and I don’t know why. It’s probably very simple, I just don’t know exactly what. Her leg is hot but not swollen. No abscess I can see, and no tender spot on hoof as far as I could tell. She seems...
I actually have been using colloidal silver. It doesn’t wreck their system as much as other antibiotics and can treat a spectrum of things. She seems to be improving quickly thank God.
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, Homesteader!
Duckling are now adopted by chicken mom because theirs keeps trying to run away and ditch them.
Friend’s goat had twins and the girl has coccidia. She wasn’t wanting to eat and very weak. So, Betty came home with me and is currently in...
Not today persay. We pulled back the animal’s fence quite a bit and are putting trees up there. The soil is beautiful from animals for the better part of a decade.
Got four peach saplings out there, more to come in the fall. Whenever they’re ready to be transferred we have a friend who’s a...
Glad you have a car.
We got so much rain the higher parts of the yard were almost submerged. Didn’t have to water animals though!
Had a not muscovy mom hatch babies. How do I know this? When I opened the door she rushed out leaving her nest of five still-wobbling ducklings. When they’re...
Got three days of dinner in the works (I don’t want to cook for a few days) and sourdough ready to be put in the fridge for the week.
How are y’all doing?
