I was very thankfull...they didn't get at the chickens...only somefeed..but they haven't been
laying nearly as much so probably got spooked..
it is owned land for sale behind..we tryed to buy it but didn't end out working out...
we have seen deers other years...but not this year...so far they...
I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with bears...
there is a foresty area behind our property, so it is understandable that wildlife is there...
and I saw a black and a brown earlier this summer they were georgeous...but comfortably behind the fence...
but they have managed to break...

last year I got tons of slugs this year not so many
this year it was aphids that caused the most damage..
I stomp any slugs I see..and feed snails to the chickens
and cut medium sized pop bottles just a little higher than half
and insert the top into the bottom...
have you checked ebay??
i am still using an order that with shipping worked out to $10 a roll cheaper than trying to get a hold of them locally

congrats or chick...I know I was skeptical too...but it is very tasty, and canned left over turkey comes out tasting way freasher than frozen

will be canning in the morning as it was getting just too hot...
I have frozen till had enough for a good size batch...
One advantage to freezing is you can avoid blanching...as as they start to thaw you can pop them out of there skins...

do you boil the rubber rings...and the top glass...
or just the rubber..???
and I would presume the rubber rings could be used over and...
