Nine items that will probably disappear in our lifetime.

The town I live in is also at least 10 years behind, if not more. I wish it would stay that way. :(

Nine items that will probably disappear in our lifetime.

My father works for the post office. And I can tell you that he has put in a good 24 years with a now very uncertain future. For the last several years they have continually treated their employees worse and worse. And pushed them to the breaking point with various threats and daily gloom and...

Ohiofarmgirl'sAdventuresinTheGoodLand-where ya been? whatcha been doin

AHHHH! You were so right OFG! I "ordered" those tomatoes from the Witten stand on Friday and were told they'd be here Saturday or Sunday and they would give me a call to come pick them up. Well it's practically Tuesday already and I still haven't heard a peep from them! Guess I'm gonna have to...

    Is it safe...?

Thanks BB! I really love being informed about our food choices. So when people say, "You eat what? Is that SAFE??" I can give them actual info to back it up. And then ask them if they have any info to back up their lunch choice of a McDonalds burger and fries.

    Is it safe...?

Thanks guys! Like I said, we did alot of research before we decided to do raw milk ourselves. And I didn't think pregnancy would change much but you always have a few people who question that. So I just wanted to do a little research to [help] reassure some jittery family members. ;)...

    Is it safe...?

Hi all! Just had a question for the future. I'm new to the raw milk thing. But we've been drinking it since we got the goats early this spring. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about raw milk and pregnancy? Eventually we'll be starting a family and I had talked to several people who...

The Tightwad's Guide to Cooking from Scratch

Gotta say I'm loving this thread. So many good ideas. I made my first pot of homemade soup this week. Seriously, first time ever! Lol. That's probably a sad fact, but I've learned so much here. My parents were NOT the make it from scratch kind of people as much as they were the what fast food...

Did anyone see that Kohl's commercial?

Nope. No lynching here! Lol. That's certaintly a whole new dimension to add to it. You definetly want whoever is wearing the clothes to be comfortable and confident in it, whatever it may be.

Did anyone see that Kohl's commercial?

Having fun with it is the most important part I think. I happen to be the most comfortable in a pair of jeans and a tshirt, so that's what I wear. When I was a teenager walking through the mall my friends would all make faces at the kids with green mohawks or wearing "crazy" style clothes. Or...

Did anyone see that Kohl's commercial?

Yes, that commercial was definetely catering to a parent. In a way that says you need to buy your child A, B and C if you really want the best for them. I feel like as a society, we have been told that if you really love your child then you will buy them the most expensive things you can afford...

Did anyone see that Kohl's commercial?

I'm sure these commercials are regional. But the outline of the commercial was a young girl (8th grade or so) getting onto the bus for the first day of school. It shows her mother watching her from the house. You then hear a comforting female voice say something along the lines of "She wanted...
