I just made patandchickens ricotta recipe. It is a winner!!!!! It was easy. I dont like recipes that are too picky and this one was not. I think the only place that you can go wrong is if you don't check the milk temperature as it heats to insure that it is between 185 and 195 degrees.
I will be glad to. I will post it tomorrow in the cooking section of this forum. This was the first time I made ricotta and I was surprised how easy it was. I used a recipe that I found on this site or from BYC a while ago. I will see if I can find it in the threads so that I can give credit to...
I saved money today by making homemade ricotta cheese :plbb . The cost of a 2 pound container from the store is $7 while the homemade cost me $2.50 and a little time.
Since I am the only VT that has posted in this thead I am going to assume that your post was about me. I did not rember making a diatribe about tax breaks for the rich and any mention of China. I did post in this thread "It is not about "tax increases" for the rich and businesses. Those taxes...
When Glen Beck said that we were not alone and that we surrounded them, I was feeling very alone. He then started the 9/12 Project. I now realise that I am not alone in my belief that our Constitution is being circumvented and even ignored by our elected officials. I now see that there are many...
It is not about "tax increases" for the rich and businesses. Those taxes tend to filter down thru to all of us in increased costs for everything. Many of those that have their taxes increased just pass the increase along thru increases in the costs of the products and services they provide to...
We must always be watchful, because those who wish to deny us this right are patient and watch for the oportunity to chip away at it. The moment we become lax in our vigalance will be the moment that we loose our second amendment right to bear arms! :old
I have written my representatives in Washington on other issues, until I think my fingers will bleed. The emails that I receive back make it clear that they or their staff don't even read them, most of the time. Their votes are predictable and do not represent what I want from my...
DrakeMaiden,
Dwight D. Eisenhower was right, it is all about the balance of power. If the government is allowed to promote one type of scientific endevor to the exclusion of others. We, in time could be held hostage to that technology.
It is like the Chris Dodd (Senator from Conn) problem. Senator Dodd is the head of a commitee in the Senate that had jurisdiction over items pertaining to the banking and mortgage areas of the economy (among other things). He received preferencial mortgage rates for several properties from...
dac, I want to thank you whole heartedly for your service to our country. I feel that those who serve are all heros. Thank You
I feel our country, and also the world, are at a cross roads and the decisions that are made now will effect the relationship between us all for the next hundred...
Both those in business and those in politics have the same reason for their conspiricies. The reason is money. Some in business want to pile up as much money as they can and some in politics do as well. The people in business use the politicians to enact laws that give them an advantage in...
It is unfortunate but, the two main political parties and the government are always pitting one group against another. Their rhetoric is divisive. It is Dems vs Reps, black vs white vs brown, rich vs poor, conservative vs liberal and so on. They know that if they keep us divided into small...
I spent the morning in the basement, starting to reorganise my food stores and check the date codes for items that are coming close to code. I found a half dozen items, so far, that are just past code or close. I will use these items up within the next few days. I hate to waste food.
