Can I reuse these jar seals if they weren't really used for canning?

Well, like I said, they weren't used for canning, she just bought them and used them like a regular jar I guess. I emptied the jars out into regular containers, but these lids still should not be used? Sorry, if I sound repetitive! I'm just making sure!

Can I reuse these jar seals if they weren't really used for canning?

Thanks! So these lids should not be reused? I know they're disposable, but can they be recycled (not reused)? It just seems like a waste to throw them out with regular trash.

Can I reuse these jar seals if they weren't really used for canning?

I have no idea why my mom bought these jars.. she doesn't can, but she used them to put salsa in them. Just put them in there and put them in the fridge. It's only a couple jars she did this with, but can they be used for canning? Also.. where can you get new seals and what do you do with the...

    Anyone grind their own flour?

Oh okay! Well, that's not bad. I keep thinking that when you grind up something you get "less" because it's ground up, but flour is light and fluffy while the berries are compact... hahaha Thanks so much!

Where/how do you incubate your yogurt?

I just found out how that you can make yogurt in a dehydrator last night! And I just got a free dehydrator off Freecycle! Here's how you do it: Just make your yogurt blend. Make sure the dehydrator is between 100 and 120 degrees (no more than 120 or else you'll kill the yogurt bacteria) and...

    Substitutes for Toilet Paper?

Lots of people use cloth diapers for their babies and use cloth wipes. These cloth wipes can also be used as washable toilet paper. Basically, get a bucket that you keep a solution in (they have "recipes"), you get a diaper sprayer if it was a bit much, and you put it in a "wet bag" that gets...

    Who's starting their garden early?

Does anyone have or know how to cheaply build a cold frame? I got a book on solar greenhouses, but it's making it sound like it's a lot more expensive that it looks. I might be answering my own question, but is it possible to just build one from pallet wood, black plastic, and plexiglass? Or...
