I love the BumGenius covers. I have four of them. What I have been doing is using the cloth diapers inside the covers. It seems to be working really well. I haven't tried making my own yet.
Well my baby girl, Lillian, is here. I have been using reusable diapers on her. I love them. My husband wasn't thrilled at first, but he hasn't said anything since. I love saving the money.
My husband showed this to me last week. It was in one of his mags. It is pretty cool. He made a wood splitter for his skidloader but it doesn't cut them up so little and it doesn't cut up large logs. Since I am 7 months pregnant, the smaller peices would be nice. We have an outdoor wood stove. I...
I am looking for a great recipe for dinner rolls. I am having Thanksgiving at my house for the first time. I wants to make homemade dinner rolls. I want everything to go right.
Thanks for all the information. I did buy some pocket diapers off of ebay a few months ago. I still need several more. I am going shopping this weekend. Hopefully I will be able to find some then, so I don't have to order them of the internet.
Thanks everyone. :D
I have read several articles on different reusable diapers. I am pregnant with my second child. I didn't use reusable diapers with the first one, but I am going to with this one. I wanted to see which ones you all thought was best. I have a Mothering magazine and it has lots of different brands...
I would leave the queen in the box, if it was me. THe reason I would is because if she dies before she is out of the box, you can prove it. One of my hives killed their queen so I had to get another one. She was still in the box. Sometimes the bees won't like the queen.
Congrulations on getting bees. I just got mine last Monday. I am going to feed mine for two weeks. I have a feeder that goes into the enterence of their hive. I use a quart jar with the feeder lid. It is good to spray your frames with sugar water before you put your bees into the hive. The queen...
I love my Nubians. They are great milking goats. I get a gallon a day from one of them and the other is nursing two kids that aren't a week old yet and I get over a half gallon from her.
I use to raise Nubian/Boer crosses years ago. They would of been great meat goats. I would say go with...
I started working on my Sufficient living last year. This is what I learned.
*I learned how to make cheese from my raw goat milk.
*I learned to use a water tub canner. I maded lots of different jams and canned other fruits.
*I learned how to spin on my spinning wheel.
Here are things I...
My crocuses started blooms three days ago. My daffodils are coming up and I can see that some of them will be blooming soon. I just love spring. It is 59 here right now. I just hope it doesn't get really cold again.
I have always wanted a house with secret rooms. You are lucky. I want to add on to our house and add a secret rooms for my son to play in. I think it would be cool.
It is great to be able to make this like yogurt at home. I have heard of a lot of people making like you do. I have never made it that way. I got this recipe from one of my yahoo groups. I have made it several times. Works great!
Making yogurt in a crockpot.

First, I would like to add my thoughts. If you want to milk this doe after she has weaned her kids, I will still be milking her down. You want to keep her milking production up. The reason is that as she weans the kid. She will try to get him to drink less often, which means she will produce...
Sounds like you have things under control. I do use coffee filters. They work just fine for me. A quart jar will work just fine. They say you should use stainless steel or glass with milk, because they can be cleaned correctly. Let me know if you have any more questions. I am still learning...
You can start drinking the milk now. The colostrum only last a day or two. I know people that drink the milk from day one. They say it cleans their colon out. The bad taste should be gone by tonight.
I milk in a stainless steel milking pail. Then I come in the house and strain it with a...
Welcome to the wonderful world of milking. I joined this world last Fall. Right now, I have one Nubian that I am milking. I get around a gallon a day from her. I milk around 7:30 in the morning and at 6 at night. She does pretty good with this. I did let her raise the kid and milked her at the...
