Got more of the butterfly garden dug out and new dirt dumped. Almost there. Getting the windmill up was a great milestone for me. The past two nights, we have had scattered frost. Now glad I am behind on the veggie beds.

Did finish one task this morning. Did replace the doorbell button, but that didn't fix the doorbell not working. Halfway done

Sitting in a lawn chair at the front of the garage, soaking up the heat from the sunlight trying to cut through the clouds, sipping coffee. Still a bit chilly with the occasional puff of breeze. Too wet to do anything.

Not canning today, but while in Kentucky, found some bourbon infused sorghum. Going to try it in my baked bean recipe

To each his own.... my personal preference is that is way too much fat. I would be worried about it going rancid. All my canning experience the past 3 generations says to skim off all the fat as possible before canning. Hopefully it will work out for you.

The birdhouse is on a tree where I had one of the feeders. I moved all three feeders to the back yard to give momma some peace and quiet

Did a little outside after work yesterday before the rains came. Rained all night. May trade the tractor for an air boat

So. The broken down bird house I was planning to take down has a momma bluebird with 5 beautiful eggs. Plans change. Lol.

Was able to work around the saturated spots in the yard. Still couldn't access the raised beds, but did putter in the herb raised bed (some of it is coming back). Got another portion of the butterfly garden prepped, down to about a quarter of it left.

39 degrees overnight. Glad I am behind in the garden work.
