Okay, so I've decided I want to make myself some aprons. I was looking at patterns today at WM, and found this one: This ones cute too
I adore the retro, ruffled apron look :D My problem is that the available sizes are S, M, and L. I need at least one, if not 2 X's in front of the L...
I feel you on the no sleep thing - I've been keeping some weird hours lately with stress/anxiety levels, as discussed in my depression/anxiety thread. I DO have a doctor's appt with my PCM today!!! So hopefully that will be improving soon :D I'm also working on cutting down (and eventually out)...
Can't help with the actual implementation, but sounds like what I've heard called "The Daniel Diet," based on when Daniel and his friends didn't eat meat/drink wine like all the other king's(?) men after they had been captured and taken to Babylon.
Also, I remember watching a program on...
2nd the baby leash/harness idea! I had one for my son, and it was great! Love the idea of attaching to the clothsline. And not necessarily for gardening, but MIL talks about watching her Mom keep the babies in the house "in place" (boys, back in the day when all babies wore dresses at first) by...
You can't get it out with the plastic spatula in the solid formula? I used to do that when I was still used Crisco (I've learned better now). And even with my bacon grease that I keep stored in a mason jar, I scoop some out with a plastic spatula (I use the regular mouth jelly jar, so it IS a...
Just a note, you CAN get pregnancy tests for $1 (yes ONE DOLLAR) at the Dollar Tree! Great for stockpiling, or taking multiple tests until you're convinced of the answer. And they are JUST as reliable as the fancy expensive ones. 2 different stores in same town - one I had to ask for them at the...
Ummmm, NO! That's her, taking advantage. She needs to grow up and put on her big girl panties! Dollars to doughnuts, she's the same female who's going to get all steamed and torqued off when he asks for same favor in return! :somad You either take "spouse" (as Abi says) and ALL that goes with it...
For getting it out, suggest either using a plastic spatula, or set the jar in hot water so you can pour it out. I've been known to set it on top of the stove (in front of the vent at the back where all the heat comes out) to get it melt-y, too, if the oven is on. :) Sorry I can't help with ideas...
Thanks for the recipes, BBrooks!
If anybody is interested, I use a variation of that laundry soap, but mine stays powdered. Grate then pulverize (I use the food processor) 4 bars of Fels Naptha. Combine with one box (4 lbs) Borax - smush the lumps out, and 4 lbs of washing soda (can't buy...
[small threadjack in process] What is the difference in liverwurst and liver cheese? I agree BBrooks :sick, but my Mom loves livercheese, and treats herself to it (the package stuff from the sandwich meat section of the store) about once a year. Just trying to figure this out.... [/threadjack] ;)
I tried some kefir yesterday, and I like it! :weee OK, so what I tried is the stuff you can buy in the store that I've read enough to know isn't REALLY kefir, but still, I liked it ;) Does this mean I stand a good chance at liking the real, honest-to-goodness thing?
My concern was that I don't...
