    What's for dinner?

If I were next door I'd love it! Not terribly hungry - could use sleep more than food right now. Decided that if I do eat anything later it will likely be a sweet potato. DH is fixing himself a snack plate - likely kippers or smoked oysters with some crackers, cheese, olives and pickled...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

I appreciate that! Hopefully soon I'll have a victory to report - but I'm not holding my breath. Sad when the dang dogs outsmart me at every turn...:he

    What's for dinner?

I've been busy and I'm tired so not very motivated to cook. That means I have no idea what we'll have but whatever it is will be coming from the pantry. I've got a bunch of canned up meals that are ready to go. Heat and eat!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Weird night of interrupted sleep - but I guess it's better than nothing! Oh boy - looked at breeding dates this morning and babies can happen before I know it....and if I don't get busy they'll be here before I'm ready. Need to work on kidding pens and stock up on shavings. Guess I can use...

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Woke up to heavy fog and coolness. Our temps are really moderate compared to what a lot of ya'll are dealing with. We're up to 51 at 8am. Likely headed for mid 70's. Can't really complain about that. So far, Missy has stayed in the pasture instead of shirking her duties in the back yard...

    What's for dinner?

Chicken thighs - recipe is loosely based on Tuscan Chicken. Made a couple substitutions but it's looking pretty good. Roasted brussels sprouts (thanks FJ!) and mashed potatoes. It'll take us a couple days to eat up the potatoes because we each only have a half-cup, but sometimes the carbs are...

Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Brrrrrr! Nope - too cold! We were 38 at wake-up and we're up to 64. Very pleasant if you're in the sun, but because of a strong breeze it's a little chilly in the shade. However - compared to a lot of the country - I'll take it!

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Still riding the high of victory, lol! Been out this morning and took care of a couple little projects. Missy, one of the LGD's, has been a bad dog lately. She keeps jumping the fence and coming to stay on the back porch. I love the girl and feel very safe with her guarding the door - but...

    WHAT ARE YOU CANNING TODAY?

I'll be watching for sales around here. I'd love to get a bunch put up. I do have some that I dehydrated a while back. They 're pretty convenient.

    Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Been stuck in a cold weather rut lately. Finally, temps are back to my level of tolerable, so I'll be back outside for projects today. Will probably start gathering materials for closing in the last portion of the goat shelter that I've been working on. I'm sure the two goats in that area...
