At that age not much helps. I had the wildest of them in a small pen so they were easy enough to catch. However, these guys were all in that 30ish pound weight range and soooo much stronger than you can imagine. Plus, I didn't disbud any of them and they already know how to swing their heads...
Who said I couldn't reduce my goat herd? I now have 7 less mouths to feed. Also 11 less chickens. Still have more to move on - but it'll happen in time. Watching a couple of does to even know if they're bred. They have until May to either baby up or find a new home. There are 3 on that...

Lots of outside time lately. I'm ok with that - but my house is not exactly feeling the love. Need to give it equal time at some point.
The silkie chicks that I moved the other day ... ummm... one became an owl snack. Sigh... Now I'm herding them into a crate...
It'll be another outside day today. Caught almost all of the goat kids yesterday and got them wormed and treated with a coccidia preventative. Have two left that didn't get treated. Gotta rectify that today. They don't love me much right now.
Been getting DH outside and walking every day...
Pulled out a home canned quart of brisket chunks, another home canned quart of charro beans and threw 'em together. Also added some left-over green beans. Not sure if I'll add anything else or just consider it done.
It's been a goat day - all day! Babies this morning and later had a call from a guy who buys goats from me almost every year. He came out, looked around and spoke for EIGHT goats. He'll be back this weekend to pick 'em up. I need to get busy worming and doing toltrazuril treatments. Gotta...
