We found a meat grinder at garage sale last oct . for 20.00 it's cast iron.. Haven't used it yet.. Have seen old ones like it as high as 50.00 or more.

Our centeral heat and air has smell to it also when we start it either in spring or fall... Now our is 40 years old... We are going to have a new one put in soon. Plus new ducts.. I know those things have to be really uyky up there since they are so old.

I opened one of my cans of butter powder that I purchased in 2010 from emergency essentials... I figured I need to start learning to use some of my storage. I made brownies with some of it.. only trouble is don't know how to use it in place of real butter... I had to guess and use a quarter cup...

My hubby likes his pancakes or waffles with peanut butter on them also... He is from Kansas me born and raised Texan.. all I had ever put on my wallfles or pancakes was margarine/or butter, and either cinnamon and sugar and syrup, or fruit.. It took some getting used to him wanting peanut butter...

Thank you will give it a try .... We have had rain for the last couple days so haven't worked on it much as read that tomato powder is able to take moisture from the air... If it's sunny tomorrow will give it a shot...

LOL... I'm working on trying to get it out of the can.. I have a food processor so it I ever get it to release I may try busting it up and putting it in that.. Don't have a canner yet... The seal wasn't broken because when I opened the can what air was in there escape.

Well still a scrapin on it have one quart jar filled so far. Noticed it still wants to pack inside of it too.. I made some tomato juice with some the other day.. Wasn't too bad and used some in meat for taco's also... Next can I order though is being kept in house..

I just opened my #10 can of Tomato powder and it is kind of solid. I can scrape it off but its going to take for ever.. I'd like to transfer it into glass jars.. Do ya'll think it's still good... and pointers and have any of ya'll had this trouble. thank you

Bishops Store house has wheat if there is one close to you.. you can get it in # 10 cans and 25 lb bags .. I have also ordered from www.beprepared.com when they run a special.. also when the provident living specialist let us know when we can place a bulk order through church we all go together...

I don't mind dishes.. but don't really like cleaning house.. luckily hubby and I work together at it so it's not so bad.. I have a dish washer but still find myself doing them by hand..

I make a dish my grandma called Roman Holiday. I take a lb of hamburer meat and brown it with chopped onion and chopped garlic... some chili powder, a little salt and pepper.. after browned I add a can of stewed tomatoes plus a little water.. I cook some elbow macaroni, then I layer the two...
