FARM DAY!!! My day started with what is very likely the last delivery of this kidding season. Got a big single (so far) buckling. I think this is a one and done delivery, but I've been wrong once many, many years ago! :hide

I was having breakfast in my mulberry tree "orchard" this morning when I discovered that I have a squatter! Nothing like raising babies in the kitchen, lol.

We had an early dinner or a late lunch - however you wanna look at it. Big ol' salad with strips of pork tenderloin and a couple of crackers. Not sure if we'll do anything else for dinner other than a light bite of something - if that.

Glad they're somewhat better - but sorry they're still hurting. That stinks!

Yay! I woke up to find that the trash guy must've changed his route again. He's been coming at 3pm and today he came at 7:50. Guess who DIDN'T get the trash to the curb? Booooo...

They are basically a glorified butternut. Taste is about the same and they are excellent keepers. I had some stacked in a milk crate in the corner of the dining room for months with no special care and no deterioration of quality. Google search says: Argonaut is a type of butternut-type...

So glad we're done with that! We got light rain for several hours yesterday. I was glad to see it - things have been crunchy around here lately.

Wow! I'm a tiny bit jealous of all the varieties of trees you can grow! We have done fairly well with some citrus, but after a couple of years of crazy cold spells I've lost my two Meyer lemons and persimmon tree. My mulberry and fig trees have survived though, Guess I'll concentrate on...
