You mean it isn't helpful to point out flaws and/or hypocrisy? I guess that is a matter of opinion. I have found it very helpful when I've been smacked across the side of the head by someone pointing out my own hypocrisies. It showed me where I needed change.

OK, here's a question for you food experts. I have a teen age son who just can't seem to put on weight. He is a basketball player and burns off about everything he eats. We've had him on whey protein when was lifting weights and that didn't seem to make a difference. Man....I wish I had that...

Actually, some of the rudest things that have been said to me have been said on forums by people who think they know more than anyone else. When simple questions are asked, the more "knowledgeable" people about a particular subject can be some of the rudest people of all.

OK...that is some serious garlic growing. My father told me about a decade ago of a guy that planted about an acre of garlic....he sold it to restaurants and stores. Made about $1000 off that one acre. Can you explain what you do with your garlic?
