Looks like a good method for allot of people. However being not quite 5' tall I can see an issue especially with larger birds.

A few years ago there was a warning around here (Wisconsin) about letting hunting dogs (or any dog) go in ponds with blur-green algae. I guess it killed a few dogs.

I think you have a good start there. I would keep her confined and let her out for a few minutes a day while you clean out her cage/pen, but in a small area where she can't try to fly or run. The comfrey is a good idea. Bird heal pretty well when given a chance.

If the Wyandotte is full or nearly full grown, she will probably be head hen after a while. Sorry for your little EE. Glad she has the NH to help her out. When I expanded my flock the first time I had one PR that was guarded by 2 Australorps. :lol: It will take a bit but they will work it out...

I love the old gadgets I grew up with. I learned to cook before all this electric, fancy stuff came along so I found it harder to adapt to the "new" stuff. It's often quicker and easier to get out a small gadget than a processor. I love some of my little gadgets so much that when they finally...
