    In Sweden we have this bizzare rules that allow slugs to be used on wildboar and fallow deer, but not when hunting red deer or roe deer.

    Here it is. Manlicher style stock, which I find extremely elegant on a rifle. A zeiss conquest 3-9x50 ontop.

    To be more specific. We peoduce most of the meat we consume and summertime all vegetables and fruit etc are produced by us. But we have not been able to store what we reap in a good way so at winter we are forced too buy a bit too much.

    We're at the end of the redfox season here in Sweden. It ends in 2 weeks and starts again 1st of aug. So yesterday I took part in a rather huge hunt. We covered about 20.000 acres of huntingground using 6 hounds and as many sub terran dogs. 75 shooters and 10 doghandlers took part in the hunt...

    Thanks. We realised that we will not have the time to shear our sheep this spring, therefore we just made an appointment with a pro. He will come on wednesday and shear our small herd. Hopefully Ill learn something new and usefull.

    Smallholding, got the phrase from my guru Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall. Something like a minifarm. Maybe a cottage could be a suitable word as well. We have 20 acres and it gives us some 50% of the food we consume.

    Any trappers on here

    I have a couple of traps, but I use them mostly to protect my poultry and sheep from small size predators. I do not sell my pelts as there are almost no market at all in Europe (I live in Sweden)

    the deerrifle I prefer is my Carl Gustaf 2000 mkII, 30-06. A perfect stalking rifle. Edit: because of me beeing a newbie I couldn't insert an image of this smoth beauty.
