I save them up to use as humidity domes for starting rose cuttings. (Cut the bottom off, poke bottle down over cutting either in ground or in a pot, loosen the lid a bit.)

Redneck wall-o-water. Surround a plant with chicken wire then surround that with 2 liter bottles filled with water. You can start planting 6-8 weeks early using these.

I've used them for several of those things! If I didn't already have a green house I would totally make one!
My 2nd son and a friend made a raft with them one year and it worked! They took it over a mile down the river. They were going to take it out a 2nd time but we had strong winds a few days later and, well, it made a nice kite too!:lol: They never got around to another one.

The few that I come across get used to keep the rabbit cool and sometimes even the goldfish in the pond. We keep waterfilled ones in the freezer. On a hot day we put one or two in the rabbit pen, in animal waterers and the fish pond.
